Do it! It Feels Good!!!!!

Though I know the topic itself seems to alluring enough to subjugate you to read further. But this blog post is inspired by the passion to do something for our country. I haven’t seen all the episodes of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ nor have I joined gang Anna, I’m just one curious girl who wish to live in a world where peace preludes the falsehood. The more I wish to see my country proper, the more I see inequality, poverty, corruption, and to add insensitivity and no civic sense and humanity among us.

15th August, 1947

Yes, this is the day when India got it's independence. Independent enough to make decisions of self pity, self destruction and corruption. We crib, all we do is cribbing. Even I do. We consider it as our birth right. As rightly asked by Dr. Abdul Kalam, “where do we see ourselves forth 20 years”. The answer should be ‘growing’. Well that we are. We are growing in terms of population, aren’t we? If I ask you what is eating up India, okay shoot five problems majorly effecting our nation’s growth. Searching from the endless list? Don’t even try, you’ll end up agitated and irritated.

Many states of India don’t even have drinking water. Half of the nation is in darkness at their homes to provide electricity to rich cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, etc. Healthcare has a sorry state, food is inadequate, and literacy level never reaches beyond 60%. We live in a sick country, where we can eat a dinner worth 5000 but will think twice before shelling out money for donation.

That’s why I say “Do it, it feels good”. Help others around you. Be it smallest of it but when you do you’ll feel good. Find a cause to support, promote that cause if you’re capable of. Let people know how they can contribute. Because if we keep on blaming, cribbing about the condition of our country, that’s not gonna help. I know this article doesn’t talk about anything new. But yes it talks and intrigues you to do it and do it now. I don’t wish to name the issues prevailing in our country because we’ll know it. It’s up to you which issue you wish to address.

I’m sure there’d be one Independence Day in this country when we’ll will be able to answer the question “where do we see ourselves 20 years forth”. And the answer is “together”. Together we can and together we will.  Let’s join hands to walk to a brighter, better India. Our India. New India.

And I'm BACK and this time with some observations!!!

Long time, no blog, eh?

Looks like people have forgotten about this blog. Finally I couldn't stop myself from writing few lines for my blog. Recent months of my absence have been hectic. Travelling a lot lately and doing WORK, supposedly. At least I try to show that somehow. An achievement by far, and aren't we all do that and in reality we're all hooked to Facebook. :D

Anyway don't want to mock or hurt somebody by saying this. I had some observations and I'd like to share some if ya'll don't mind.

Observation number one: Men are mostly absent minded so that's why we have female workforce in an organisation  ;-)

Observation number two: Most women are pathetic with numbers. Never ask a woman to do the maths for your business or else she'd calculate everything but what's required. (sorry girls but this is true) :P

Observation number three: I need typing classes to learn "how to type on touchscreens" :/

Observation number four: We all need breathing space. Take some time out, sit back and relax yourself and think what now the sunny days are over :D

Observation number five: Love your parents, it's essential. We usually miss to say "I Love You" to them though we hug people around but we miss them and it's their right and our duty to ask us questions. Let them have their "haqs" :)

Observation number six:  Empty your brain everyday so that you can consume new things. A filled cup cannot add more tea, isn't it? So how do we expect our brains to do that?

Lastly, it isn't observation day, so I'd not bore you more. Keep up the spirits.

Sorry for typos and errors. Typos cos the right click of my mouse is not working. Errors... to err is human, isn't it?

And heck I never studied grammar, I'm ancient   :P

Ciao, signing off ......

Happy Holi!!!

I remember the days we use to play Holi with water. Yes! Water, cos I'm allergic to colours, actually scared. :D  And I feel this festival is for "chune ke baahane" :P

Anyways, I wish you all a very Happy Holi. Play Safe. Be Safe.

Please respect the feelings of people. If they're not interested in playing there is no point in pushing them. Hope you all have a great weekend ahead. (weekday just has started :P)

Last year on Holi I was in Jaipur and my friends dragged me in to the tub full of colours. Had fun after having the colorful bath. The spirit was good. How can I miss GUJIA....my fav sweet.....yummmmm......

Wish to go home this time. Lets see....

Happy Holi once again. Enjoy :)

Have A Happy Weekend

Weekends are ever awaited days in everyone’s life, at least in my life. Getting up late in the morning, enjoying the sunshine, eating lots of calories, talking to mom on phone, having chit chat with friends. Life seems so standstill, so serene and I love the tranquility and peace in my life. Okay lets not bore you with this. And all I want to do is to write, be it crap, but I want to write. Its been long that I’ve written anything on my blog.

The life after my sister’s marriage has been different, now I feel more responsible towards my family. I think a lot, hell lot. How to make things work for myself? After the debacle in my early life, I felt life is falling apart, but no, life still holds something for me. How can I forget that only when the night occurs we understand the importance of day! If there is no sign of sadness, I would never know what happiness means for you and what should I do to attain to reach my goal? Though I plan out almost every single detail of my life but its life who decides what will happen next, coz I m not the architect of my life. There is someone above me who has pre-decided my fate.

Today I made a promise to myself that whatever happens, good or bad, I’ll never lose faith in Almighty and my parents. Hopefully in coming time I would be on the position I want to and that too without losing my temper and my ideals (have seen people doing it in due course of time). I know its not concerning your life and doesn’t even bother you that you should read it and even think for a while about the realism in my words. But the purpose of writing this was sharing my thoughts, filling my bog and trying to tell everyone that whatever life might be for you, never lose faith, there is always a way. Even if you have done something wrong, don’t be afraid to accept the consequences because you never know what going to happen next. What if its for your own good? You have to take the risk and plunge for the dream you wished true all the time.

Love people around you, respect them and you will never face any hardships in your life. People often ask me why are you so good to people who don’t even give a damn. I just have one answer, its not on my hands to change their attitude towards me or life but I’ve control over my thoughts so why to spoil them because of others? And if there is a chance that they can be changed, I would love to take it. If we don’t give chance to people how we will come to know the depth they can face. So do good to people and surely that good would come back to you. I know I’ve done a lot of preaching in this blog but what to do. I remember how Munna Bhai went on Gandhi’s way to cure his sick friend.  I hope you didn’t mind my words. I deeply feel world needs more love than competition. Let’s help each other and grow with people around us.

Cheers!!!

Merry Christmas!!!!

I remember when I was in school we had these Christmas celebrations and red house (I was in blue house)  use to participate in the play. The preparations started in early December and we had loads of free classes in those times as teachers and students were busy. Christmas always meant chocolate cakes to me.

I remember when Sister Monika use to announce in assembly that we have 10 days of holidays after Christmas celebrations, which usually got extended due to winter fog, we all had a big grin on out faces. So many holidays at dispense. :D

Oh !!!! talking about the play, Jesus was born on this day. And this day holds a relevance for all the Christians around the world. I was in Christian school so I know the happiness of the sisters in our school. The star, the three kings in the play, that horse stable where Jesus was born, I remember it all.

Well, I know it sounds so kiddish and this blog is stupid remembrance of my childhood memory written in a pathetic way. But it is too cold and my mind is not working so please don't go on words but do understand  the meaning and emotions in it.

I wish everyone a very very Happy Christmas!!!!
Enjoy on this day and please drink in limits and don't drink and drive.

Love
Zivpreet

You Don’t Stand a Chance....

If you’re planning to hurt me,
Disgrace me, irritate me,
You don’t stand a chance.
If you came to fulfill your purpose,
Serve you’re your needs,
You don’t stand a chance.

If I can give you that chance,
I would be stupid.
A stupid, totally nerd
To give you that chance.
I don’t know then why
Did I give you a chance?
A chance to disgrace me
Hurt myself, cried whole night.
And then I curse myself
For giving you that chance.

Shouldn’t have done that
Must have thought
You don’t deserve my love
But then why
I believed you
And you broke my heart
And then everything fall apart.

What I did was wrong
And I paid for that
I never thought
That it would be difficult
But everything was going against me.
Unless I give in
And confided to someone
She told me it is okay
But warned to never do it again
So now no way do
Would I give you a chance.

Go away, rotten your life
I give a damn
I mean no wrong
But you meant a lot to me
And you broke my trust
I didn’t what to do
I explained my parents
That I wasn’t wrong

But you prove me bad
But signing off
Ditched me
Left me in the middle of nowhere
And now when you wane come back to me
I say I want that you to suffer
The same what I’ve gone through

But my heart melt by seeing you
And I did it again
I believed you
Did that mistake again
Damn me, crap it away
Don’t wane say
But yes I finally said it
YOU DON’T STAND A CHANCE

Just Strolling Around

Being in Fashion world is not easy. One got be very alert and proactive. This industry has taught me both. That day I just thought to go out have fun on my own and witness the market myself. I should know what’s happening around, right? I’m from this whole so not mine fashion world. The buzz says that fashion is returning and this time it’s not that old. Are we running short of new ones? The luxury market is growing by 18% yearly, that’s a huge number. The disposable income is rising as the per capita has to Rs.54527 in FY 2011  increase from Rs. 47519 in FY 2010 (Did you know we are the ninth largest economy according to GDP and fourth by Purchase Power Parity (PPP)? This is obvious that our purchasing power has increased by double in past few years. An average urban Indian spends 43% of his/her income in luxury, fashion and branded clothes.

Let’s get to the best of fashion world, the latest what I saw. Animal prints are back in fashion. We do remember Akshay Kumar wearing a shirt in Salman Kahan Game show on Sony, Dus Ka Dum in 2008. Wonder this fashion has picked up so soon. Winters are super close, been strolling around and found out that the winter collection in many stores are already out.

God! F for fashion and so is f for fast. Change is the quickest to get changed. Anyway, we were talking about latest trends that are going to be in vogue soon. Leather (this fabric can never be out of fashion) one of my favorite was seen by my birdie. Celebs have been in leather dresses in recent events. I just loved Blake Lively in Gucci’s orange leather dress in the Teen Choice Awards this year.

Anne Hathaway has become quite a style icon after starring in Devil Wears Prada. I still love watching the movie whenever I want a fashion moment. Was channel surfing last night and this is one of my favorite movies in concerns to fashion. The dresses are definitely tasteful. The Channel boots were the one anybody would be envious for.

Alexander McQueen is the favorite in tinsel town since Prince William’s bride; Kate Middledon has walked down the aisle in the gown from the label. The gown combined the sleek long sleeves of 50s with elegance of modernity. The silhouettes made of ivory and satin was focused of Kate’s small waistline.  Totally royal for the perfect Duchess Bride.

Lace and net are also in fashion as we see lot of these as the designer inspiration gowns around the red carpet. Liv Tyler was looking stunning in the strapless black lace gown with plunging neckline by Stella McCartney. A nice pick for New York Ballet Fall Gala, loved it.
The list is long but before ending it let me add the latest dress that I saw in New York fashion Week by the fashion label of Giorgio Armani. The 2012 collection is all about luxury and sophistication, inspired by mother of pearl. The color combination is amazing and the cuts and accessories are alluring to splurge out instantly. A unique combination by the label makes it already a hit in the market.

Mantra for perfect dress is never folly with what you’re comfortable in as fashion is what you carry elegantly not what makes you look clumsy. Will come up with more updates on fashion and luxury.
